Personal safety of their teenagers is a major concern for many parents. As our teens get older, they spend more time with their friends and less time with their families. It can be difficult to see your teen get older and spend more and more time with friends, but this is a normal part of his development. Unfortunately, teens are also more likely to take risks like drinking, street racing, and going into unsafe areas alone. So how do we keep our teens safe while allowing them independence? Talk to them. No parent can guarantee their child's safety but we can educate our teens and try to give them the information they need to make healthy, safe choices.
